Radiesse® is a new natural filler that provides long-lasting correction of the face and raises the areas in which it is injected. Radiesse® may be an alternative to surgical lift in mild to moderate relaxation of the middle part of the face.

What is Radiesse®?

Radiesse® is a dermal microsphere filler of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA), a substance naturally found in our body. In order to achieve an immediate effect, the substance is incorporated into a special sterile gel. Calcium microspheres stimulate the skin and it begins to produce its own collagen. Immediately after injection, the facial volume is restored, the contour of the face is formed, the wrinkles are smooth, the skin is rejuvenated, the lift effect is achieved. The newly created collagen network is the basis of the long-lasting effect after the Radiesse® procedure.

Radiesse® is a 100% biodegradable product. Its constituents are completely degraded over time and are disposed naturally by the body.

Is Radiesse® Safe?

Radiesse® has undergone numerous clinical trials and has proven effectiveness and safety. The product is completely biocompatible, as its main ingredient is naturally found in the human body. Therefore, when using Radiesse® there is no risk of allergic reactions.

How does Radiesse® work?

The product is injected with a very thin needle into the area of loss of volume or under the wrinkles. The effect is visible immediately after the treatment. The improvement depends on the depth of the wrinkles or the size of the volume deficiency area. For a comfortable procedure, your doctor may have a mild anesthetic. There may be slight bleeding in the injection site but it will stop immediately after treatment. After treatment, slight bruising, swelling or skin discoloration may occur in the treatment area. These complaints disappear after a few days.

Are there any restrictions after a procedure with Radiesse®?

At least 1 hour after the treatment, makeup should not be applied. For 2 weeks after Radiesse® injection, a sauna or steam bath should be avoided. After therapy, it is good for the patient to refrain from exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light, cold. Pressure of any kind should be avoided in the treated area.

How long is the effect of Radiesse®?

After the first injection, the effect is visible for more than 1 year. At each subsequent placement, the result becomes longer and can last up to 3 years.

Can anyone use Radiesse®?

The product is not recommended for use under 18 years of age, pregnant women and nursing mothers. Radiesse® therapy should be avoided in infected or inflamed skin. You should inform your doctor if you suffer from cardiovascular disease, blood clotting disorder, autoimmune disease, diabetes, rheumatism in order to assess whether fitting is appropriate for you. You should inform your doctor if you are taking medicines, even without a prescription. Taking anticoagulants and painkillers, including aspirin and some vitamin supplements, can cause unwanted bruising.
